England beat Lithuania and finish the playoffs unbeaten



England kept their record unbeaten in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, beating Lithuania 1-0 on Sunday in the final round of Group F.

While Slovakia beat Malta 3-0 to secure second place in the group, while the Scottish team draw against Slovenia 1/2 to end the dream of qualifying for the World Cup for them.

England captain Harry Kane, who scored the only goal in the 27th minute, was awarded the penalty.

The England team lifted their lead to 26 points at the top of the standings, having already qualified for the World Cup after beating Slovenia 1-0 on Thursday, while the balance of the Lithuanian team at six points in fifth place.
