Giroud : You're close to Everton

French international Olivier Giroud, the Arsenal striker, is happy he was very close to joining Everton last summer.

"I had a chance to go out, I was very close to Everton, but I think I made the best choice," Giroud is happy in comments to Canal Plus.

"I have a lot of respect for Marseille. I have been a fan of the club for many years. I respect Lyon too. They were interested in me at the same time."
