Simeone: I have not had a tougher team than Chelsea

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simonei has confirmed that his team have not faced a difficult team in their Champions League match.

Atletico lost to Wanda Mitropolitano in front of Chelsea (1-2) in the second round of Group C matches in the group stage of the Champions League.

In the first half, Grizman made the run for the Rojiblancos before Spain's Alvaro Morata equalized before Belgian Mechi Beachway scored the winner (90 + 4).

"We did not face a tough team like Chelsea, and it was very stressful to put pressure on them and draw the ball," Simeone told Spanish radio Cadena Ser on Wednesday.

"Antoine Grizman has released a little of pressure after retreating next to Timoi Bakayoko and leaving David Luiz, but that was not enough to provide a better level."

Chelsea are top of the group with six points, followed by Roma, 4 points, Atletico Madrid with one point and Karabaka Agdam of Azerbaijan, without points.

The Rojiblancos prepare to face Karpaka, after returning from the international stop hoping to improve their position in the group.
