The draw for the Club World Cup, held this morning on Monday in Abu Dhabi, put the Real Madrid team, the Champions League champion, on the path of the Asian champions scheduled for next month.
The Asian champions play in the second round against the winner of the UAE island, the representative of the host country, and Auckland City of New Zealand, the champion of Oceania, to face the Spanish team, in the semi-finals.
On the other hand, the African champions, Pachuca of Mexico, the CONCACAF representative, meet in the second round, qualifying for them against the South American champions.
The Saudi Al Hilal put forward the final of the AFC Champions League with a 4-0 home win against Iran's Persepolis.
In the African Champions League, Egypt's Al Ahli will compete with Tunisia's ES Sahel for the first leg of the final, while Morocco's Ouadad and Algeria's UEFA compete against the other.
The tournament will be held from December 6 to 16 in the UAE, with the participation of seven teams from different continents.
Four teams have been identified: Al-Jazira, UAE champions, New Zealand's Auckland City, Oceania champions, Mexican Pachuca, CONCACAF and Real Madrid champions.
The tournament is expected to determine 3 teams, the champions of South America, Africa and Asia.
